I recently scanned my 2004 530i due to the recent "increased emissions warning" that I have been getting. The code came back as P1448. After reviewing the TSB's I have found it to be Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage (DM-TL) Pump Too Low". Does anybody have any clue as to what may be the cause of this? I'm recently out of warranty, so I'd like to get an idea before I get raped by the dealer. I am just about due for 60K service. Could this have anything to do with this?

If you drove your car with the gas tank cover open its going to give a code like that other then that no idea

Thanks for the response. It was weird because I had checked the gas cap several times, and that did not seem to be the issue. Then, just a couple of days ago, the warning disappeared, I think it was after I filled up the tank. Go figure.
