Hi

I recently got all the above fitted to me cat and i am very happy with all but have a couple of questions and hoping somebody can help me out. my car has only single sot cd so got the car coded etc and all is working fine with the following exception.

If somebdy phones me and i have there name in my phonebook there name comes up on my I-Drive which is great. However if i make a call from my phone to somebody in my Phonebook, no name on the display ? In short i cannot access my Phonebook through the I-Drive as it is not there and perhaps not loaded, Is there a way of loading up your phone book and then making call useing the i drive to select the persoon or number from my phonebook that i want to call ??

Finally , am i better to use my IPOD for the music elements to the GW500 and use my IPone 4 juts for calls or is it better to use the IPhone 4 for all?z

Also does anyone know the exact dip switch settings for the dension 500 and BTA 1500 for my car , I have No 1 and No 2 and No 6(According to instructions) on but not getting any texts to diplay in my IDrive .. I did read on this forum that maybe only Dip sw No 1 and No 2 should be on, any advice would be great and much appreciated...

Ignore my question on the Phonebook, I feel stupid.) My phone is there is full in the iDrive , just found it in the communication menu, all working fine.

Just the dip sw settings to try and get Text to work in my I-Drive display , any help ??

When i brought the car into to be coded with Auto Logic, It is gives you a few different option for the GW500 . It is essential that your technician selects GW500 + TEL as the correct option. Also i upgrade my GW500 with the latset software and my phone is now there in the communication menu. I hope this helps ..

did your car have bmw bluetooth to start off with or a connectivity menu before your dension install as im having trouble getting a menu for the bluetooth in the idrive under connectivity

i can see my bta1500 in cd6 and cd 5 when selected

i tried activating $640, $644 still no luck no screen for bluetooth phonebook in idrive or dial out screen

i dont have a bmw bluetooth on my car just the bta1500 and dension 500

any help will be great i have ncs expert which i have used for coding do i need someone with a autologic box?

does any one know what coding needs to be done with ncs?
