I want to DeBadge my 530d as i prefer cars with that cleaner look. My question is what is the best way to remove the letters without damaging the paint work?

Anyone done this?

On the top right of the page is a button called Search.

Try it---this subject's been addressed plenty of times.

Fishing line or dental floss to "saw" off the badge + some goo/glue removal stuff to clean off any remains from the tape.

What was that? "Mr specialist"...? Well, MR smartie, you didn't search well enough. (I'm joking with ya so don't get mad!)

And yes, dental floss and some kind of lub will do. Check for other people's experiences and methods.. dare I say again, with the Search button...

Remember, there's advanced search as well.
As mentioned this topic has been discussed numerous times.

And you've already got your answer.

I used dental floss myself, (nice minty smell too! ) to remove my letters last week, (oh yeah, I must post pix), and it worked beautifully! Afterward I just removed the excess adhesive from the old lettering with lighter fluid, and it was as easy as that!

Yes, this works! I debadged my 325 this way. heat up the two sided tape holding the badge on with a hair dryer first...this will let you get more of the tape off and make the final cleanup easier.

Good luck, post some pics of the results
