Hey guys,
While getting an oil change at BMW, the rep told me I had a cyclone drain hose leaking oil and it should be replaced! Is this hard to do yourself? Is there any tutorials on how to do it? Thy also told me my water pump is starting to leak as well! Is that something that can be replaced by my self? If you know of any tutorials or live around orange county, ca and are willing to help me! Please let me know! I will pay I just don't want to pay the ridiculous amount BMW wants!

What and where is a Cyclone Drain Hose? In 66 years I have never heard about one of these. Water pump replacement is fairly straight forward for someone who is capable and well equipped with tools. There will no doubt be a post somewhere if you do a search.

Im not sure what model you have, but bavauto.com has a DIY on replacing a water pump. Im not exactly sure what model they are doing it on, but it is a I6, so it might give you a place to start in figuring out how to change it. seems pretty easy to me when looking at it.

Oh it would help to know what motor you have as replacing a 6 cylinder vs. a v8 wp is a little different.
