Ok, I've been hunting down posts regarding Aux Input install.

I would like install it myself. I've seen the pdf referenced numerous times about the actual pluggin of the cable to the CCC unit.

However, anybody have the other instructions on getting to the CCC and the removal of the glove box?

Am I missing something?

thanks
Arnold

Search is your friend (try aux input install):

Keep in mind that even if you install it yourself, the dealer still needs to program the car to recognize the aux input, so I decided to just pay the 1 hour labor charge.

Ok, I installed it myself. Some notes:

1. My car is 3/2005 build. There was no screw behind the hazard light switch.
2. Taking the trim off the dash is simple, just start from the right side and carefully pop each point. When you pop the third point(from the right) the rest should come off too.
3. Popping the climate control with the trim is a pain. You just have to be patient with the screw driver and pull the handle forward carefully.
4. Be sure to pull the pins and insert into the new connector that comes with the aux input.
5. I attached my aux input just below the flashlight receptacle.

I'll attach some pics of the trim pieces to give some ideas to future installers on where the points are.

Just curious--how long did it take?

I was extra careful so it took about 2 hours. If I do it again, it should take less than 30 mins.

Always good to be extra careful, especially when dealing with expensive wood trim!

The wood trim isn't the issue actually. Just make sure towels are protecting it esp. when pulling the CCC out.

The biggest pain was the climate control unit with the lower front panel. It feltl like the lower panel could break.

Mounting the Aux input was also a pain since I mounted it below the flashlight.
