Changing a new battery????

Dose any 1 know, after changing a new battery.
Do I need to reprogram the computer to let it know there is a new 1 there?

Well the dealership would tell you that you need to, but I call BS.

I changed mine about 2 weeks ago and everything is working fine to date (knock on wood).

If you have active steering, you will have to reset this. I actually got a "Anti Trap Malfunction" but followed the steps from the forum and the problem was solved in under a minute.

Hi

If you change your battery to one with more or less Amp ( BMW works with 3 size's 80-90 & 110 Amp ) , then you will have to get the car coded for it , thats so the the car "know" how hard it should be charged , so that the new battery not get dameaged , only if you change to a battery of same type and size , coding is not nessecery.

This for a fact !
