I am going to try this company to install ceramic window tint. If anyone has used them, please let me know. I will follow up on their service and price.

Life time warranty? If not, go find a Huper Optik installer.

Wintech is a Huper Optic installer, infact the only dealer I can find in Southern California.

Any suggestions on another installer or product?

Another tint company I have used in the past does not have the ceramic window tint. They only had metal and dye based tint. The metalic tint is warrantied for live, but the dye tint is 2 years and they say there is no way to prevent bubbling.

That's $76 more than I paid, but I had to go to them and leave my car for a day. Do not expect all of the bubbles and distortion to go away quickly with Huper Optik ceramic. They do go away, but it may take longer than you think - like 2, 3, 4 - 6 weeks. I think mine cleared up in 2-3 weeks.

Instead of them coming to me, because of my busy schedule, my wife and I are dropping the car off at their office on Sunday night so they can install it in their shop. I figure this is better, since they can control the environment and have all the resources of their shop on hand rather than just a mobile install. The company has been very cooperative to work with so far.

Hi bmwin14rsm,

I'm also located in SoCal and have my 545i arriving in a few weeks. One of my first mods was also to get Huber Optik tint. I'm really curious to hear how your experience goes. I'm undecided about what shade of tint to go (40% or 50%). It would be great if you could post some photos after the install is complete and an impression of your overall experience as I will probably be visiting these guys as well.

Thanks for any input.
