Hi guys, I was tryning to take off my tires when I accidentally broke the key. I chipped off a section in the key and deformed the rest. I'm guessing the key is not repairable but how can I take my tires off? How much would a shop or lock smith chrage for this? Anyone knows a good shop in NY or NJ? Thanks in advance guys.

If you're pressed for time try your dealership or an auto service like AAA - they often have "masterkeys' for the major brand wheel locks. BTW, that's why I chose the BMW wheel locks for my car. Dealers have the masters. I think McGard will sell you a new "key" if you provide the right owner information.

And my SA let me know that the BMW service centers have copies of the BMW master lock keys too.

Hope you get it sorted out ... when I bought my BMW wheel locks my dealer had very good advice = Buy 2 keys; keep one hidden in the car - the other at safe at home! $8 was worth the extra insurance that I'll have a back-up key.

yes i got it figured out. i called their customer service number and they just asked for the registration number/badge number that came with the set. they shipped the replacement out same day. you know what, you gave me an idea....ill call them again tomorrow and order another key as a spare to keep in my garage
oh and it only cost me $14 w/ free shipping.
thanks again!

nice!! McGard is good! One time, I accidentally LOST my wheel lock when I was in school in Buffalo. Had the McGard wheel locks. And I needed to change it out BAD! Good news is that McGard is located in the suburbs of Buffalo. 20 minute drive, I was there on the spot. 15 minutes later, I got my new key!!!
