That would explain it, I guess if the dealer does a bleed they're supposed to do a complete drain and replace. Was worried if I took the calipers off I'd get myself in trouble and have to go to the dealer.
if you take off the calipers you would need to clamp the hoses first.
With the brake bleeding kit I bought, it would be straight forward to then bleed the calipers out when they were refitted.
