Hi everyone
I myself own a BMW e60 2006 525d msport
I have decided to upgrade headlights from normal ones no xenon
To projector headlights which have a ballast underneath the light
And uses d1s bulbs
I've connected everything up but only my rings indicators and flash is working
However my xenons are not powering up
I previously about 2 years ago had the same scenario
I got this guy to sort it out I do remember him doing something with the
Negative and said there wasn't a negative that's why it wasn't working
Now I'm experiencing same fault
Can someone shed some light on this my old lights had aftermarket xenons and they
Were working fine so nothing wrong with original wires maybe there is a little mod I can do to make it work
Thanks in advance

to the forum!
Yup, you need an additional ground/earth/negative wire on pin #1 for the Xenon ballast as the Halogen plug only supplied one.
My guess ... after you sort out the ground/earth issue you'll be running into strobing problem

Are you sure the Xenon parts are working (ballast & bulb etc)? Try w/ multimeter tester ... pop off the ballast under the headlight try to see if you get connection on both pins (there should be only two the + & -) from the plug if the port on the bottom of the headlight give you at least 12v then you have problem w/ either ballast or bulb ...
That additional negative on pin #1 only goes to the ballast under the headlight while the other negative goes to other bulbs all over the headlight.
