Is the heater/AC blower fan able to be set to a default OFF? Everytime I start my 08 5er the fan is ON - no matter how I left it when I shut off the car. I'd like the fan to always be off unless I turn it on. Perhaps this is not possible. Thanks!

+1.

but i doubt there's a fix for it.I think its the climate control sensor that senses it is tooo hot. the same in winter, it turns on automatically but to hot air.

what led me to that assumption is this.usually when i cruise around with the windows opened and its really hot, the A/C remains off.but the minute i close the windows, 1 or 2min later, the A/C turns on automatically, it prob detects that the cabin is too hot so it turn on.

just a thought.

On my 740i the fan was always on when I started up the car. My service advisor advised that due to Government requirements he was not alowed to set it so the fan was always OFF when I started up the car- but he did indicate it could be done. Probably the same for the 5er...
