Dear Forum.
Hi from Denmark :-D
I am new at this forum, and i hope that i get a lot of good time and experience heer.

A friend of mine told me, that it is'nt allowed to use a battery charge/booster, if your E60 can't start.
Is this true.? He says that he did it once, and all the airbags blowed :-S

Welcome to the forum ...

Sounds like your friend did something very very incorrectly. It is possible to connect a battery charger and "jump start" an e60. There are many posts about battery issues. First thing you should learn is how to use the search feature (upper right corner). Next, (basic) information about connecting a battery tender or jumper cables is described in the owners manual. A free version is available to download in the information section of the forum.

I have had a bad experience when jump starting my e60 530. The best way is to trickle charge or hook a running cars battery to your battery for 8 minutes.

From what I've read in Service Bulletins battery to battery connections for jump starting or trickle charging is NOT recommended for late model BMWs.
