Hi guys i need to change my gearbox sump as its leaking oil not sure if its just the gasket or if the plastic sump is warped or cracked
have you changed yours to the metal sump or just fitted a plastic one
whats the best price to pay for each one
also best place to get the gearbox oil from?
i seen the plastic sump from britpart for around £60-70
also were can i get a pump to push the oil in and whats the best way to heat the oil to 40c

Fitted new auto gearbox sump/filter
New T40 bolts
New mechantronics sleeve
and finally new 6 litres of ZF longlife 6 oil
Got the parts much cheaper than bmw and all genuine Always best to research
Bmw were asking
£170+vat for sump
£38+vat for new bolts
£18+vat per litre of oil x6 £108+vat
Got the genuine ZF sump for £64
£8 Mechantronics sleeve
£24 for T40 bolts
£10.50 per litre for ZF Longlife 6 oil on special offer at the moment x6= £63
£10 delivery next day noon delivery came to around £206
Cars seems to drive very fast now compared to before pulls much better
It's amazing how a leak on the sump can make a difference
Was well worth the time and effort peace of mind that the gear box has loads more years to go...
