Default How to Changing alternator voltage regulator.

: Hi!

Whenever I drive my BMW 545i - 2004 on a bumpy road, I see all the different warning appears on the dashboard controller. I recharge the battery and still the problem persist. Is there any genius out there can give me some advise? Thank you.

Thank you AchtungE60,

It could be the way you said but now another additional problem is my active steering is now inactive. I have tried several ways running the engine in idle, turning the wheel to the far left and than to far right and put wheel back to the center. Still the warning light is still on the and I drive a few kilometers but it isn't working. Definitely I need more advise from you guys. Thank you.

OK, make sure your battery is good and make sure it is tightened.

First of all check the battery. Check if the connections on the battery are tightened. If these are all good then you need to check the wiring to the central controller. All the lights coming on might be an indication of the rebooting off the central control again and again. It’s the same problem that has stopped your active steering to stop working. If you can get it checked from ny technician then do get it checked or if you have time you can open the lower steering and dashboard covers and check yourself.
