I wanted my trunk numbers to stand out from my matte car
so i primered them and then sprayed them glossy black.

it looks good if youre in the car behind me
but if you walk up to the car and look from above,
you can see the 1mm sticky pads i strategically cut
to stick them on.

would you a) forget about them, as they should get dirty (darker) and shrivel (smaller)
b) black fine tip permanent marker...?
c) take em off and use double sided stick tape?

You could probably use a fine-tipped sharpie to black out the tape. It'd be easier than removing and reinstalling the pieces. Besides, the 3M Body Molding tape is dark gray and might still be visible.

Looks good and I'd try the black fine tip marker approach 1st.

+1 Sharpies can fix a lot of things--even scratches on your cell phone!
