@bkw

your best solution would be coding. I coded mine and I almost never get an error

what did you used in the coding ? I have the same issue with the parking lights failure after this mod.Mines are giving error only when on low beam.If i select to parking lights, the error goes away.I disabled cold and hot checking for parking lights, but no results.
This is my .man file
Or can you do it from wires ? It is very annoying ...
This is a movie with the issue ...
Ignore the check engine light
The ideea is , that I didn`t had this issue until I did this modification...for having the bixenon

I have the parking light error too. I don't think this mod is accurate and everyone is missing something in the instructions. I say this because it can't be a coincidence that almost everyone after doing the mod is getting the parking light errors. Who wrote this forum has to be honest and tell everyone the truth about this mod??? did you really get it working without the parking light error, I don't think so!!!! I had a pro guy tell me that you need to mod the wiring in the headlight and the car loom then recode the LCM for everything to work perfect! but he is asking for too much money to do this mod. We need proper answers!!!!!

I speak for everyone here.....if you can get hold of these parts cheap, maybe breakers or ebay. Get hold of the following to totally eliminate your issues, no mods required, no chopping and changing wires, leave as stock wiring that comes with xenon headlights.

1. Obviously the OEM xenon headlights
2. Whole wiring harness from a BMW E60 that came with stock xenon headlights that go from your headlights to the LCM
3. LCM module that came with stock xenon feature included (not non xenon LCM, as coding these is not the right way and will not work properly!)
4. Rest is all plug and play, no coding, no mods, no wire cutting!!!!!

Job done!! the proper way and no cowboy stuff!!

Default Pre lci

I have an e60 pre lci 2004 fitted with factory halogens. I have been given a set of pre lci oem xenon headlights and test fitted them. To my amazement everything worked apart from the dipped beam and no errors apart from the dipped beam. So my question is how do i rewire them so that the ballast get a live to swith on as thats the only thing not working.

Believe it or not, there is actually no mods required for this install. Or you need to do is have them coded. I did mine with NCS expert. Just code the LCM to accept xenons, nothing more.

i will open this thread once again. Today i did conversion of oem xenon headlights from prelci to 2005 prelci. Low beam didnt work so I had to put ground to pin 1 of headlight connector. Added 522 VO coding, awesome it works BUT when I start the lights starts flickering like mad. Do I have to use capacitators as is writen in the first post? Or problem is somewhere else? Thanks for any advice!!

just add, when engine is off lights are ok without flickering. They start flickering just when i start the engine...

You need to cut one of the angel light wires, i believe is the green one, as your car does not have the extra wire. Then get the brown ground wire from within the headlight and connect both from your car and headlight together to power the xenon ballast. Then code it using NCS expert, otherwise you will get warning lights.
