My Ride: 10 Honda Fit Sport, 10 Honda Pilot Touring
I keep a fresh supply of baby seals on hand for dusting and the occasional oil spill. Nothing soaks up oil like baby seals, nothing.

wow, their are a lot of California Duster users here. I've read in some detail threads on other forums to never use those. What are you guys experiences with them (especially for black car owners)?

I've heard the same thing about CA dusters as well tho. If too much pressured is applied it can scratch the paint. My theory is that if you are wiping your car down and some how get a large enough and hard enough particle caught in the duster, it could scratch your car But I think that's why most users take a couple swipes and shake the duster out a bit before wiping again....

I also used the jelly blade before when I used to wash my car. Didn't have any issues with it.
You can just as easily scratch your car by wiping water off after a wash with a cloth/microfiber towel/chamois as you can by using the jelly blade or duster if you happen to pick up a dense enough particle.
