I tend to do some waxing every 3 to 4 mos. depending on how my car looks. I use Mequiar's Nxt paste wax. I like it very well. I just wax when looking at my car no longer is an extremely positive experience.

Well, I wax depending on car washes. Most waxes last for 3-4 car washes, so if you wash your car every week, re-apply wax every 3-4 weeks.
When you wax for the first time, do yourself (and your paint) a favor and clay-clean the paint, especially if you have never done this before, and your car is 6 months or older. Clay, then you can apply very fine polishing compound (if necessary), then wax, good wax like Zymol or Zaino. Lightly sprinkle with water and dry with clean dry microfiber towel - you'll love the shine, and results will last for at least 6 months (with re-waxing).
My Z3 is 5 years old, and paint still looks brand new.

I have 5 coats of Klasse SG on my 550i, and recently have begun layering P21S. There is no cure.

Someone said that it depends on the wax i use.. Well I use Maguir's Gold Class wax... I'm not so crazy about it so I don't reali know anything bout wax... But i think I'm gonna stick to the once a week or every 2 weeks routine... thanks all...

I also use Carnuba P21S every few months. IMO its probably one of the best Carnuba waxs,it holds up quite long and you don't get any white residue in any of crevices of your car no matter what color it is.

It has been well documented that KLASSE does not layer. Some apply 2 coats just in case they missed some areas....... save yourself the time and money..... one coat of KLASSE every 6 months should do.... followed by a layer of good carnuba (or 2, as it does layer) FWIW.
