You need to get an air hose and blow air into all these places. This is what I do. If you don't want to spend the money on a compressor, you can always use a leaf blower (assuming you have one), but that's a little dicey and can't get into those hard to reach area's (mirror's, PDC holes, taillight crease's, etc.).

If you take it for a spin, it will cause the splash (which is what the originator wants to get rid off). Use an air hose to blow all remaining water out.

i use the pressurized air in a can...you know the one that cleans the keyboards.. and after i dry the car... i go to all thelines and seams and force water out...every nook and cranny... and this helps reduce or eliminate risudal water...ericd

I take a spin around the block. Been doing this for years for all my cars and it works great. When I do that, I pop the hood and all the doors, just leaving the doors semi closed but still has that crack will help get out all the water that's hidden in jams and what not. Then pull back into the garage to finish wiping off any extra water, mostly leaking out from the rear.

Edit: Taking it around the block will help get rid/vaporize any water stuck on the brake pads, rotors and rims.
