Question

Does anyone else have watermarks underneath the door sills from rain run-off? The main ones are situated at the bottom of the seam of the drivers door (at the B pillar).

They are damn difficult to remove too.

I'm probably not explaining it too well, so I'll try to get out and take pics later.

I too get those, though they come clean fairly easily when I wash the car. It does get ugly though on my silver gray, where the car can actually get a bit dirty and hide it pretty well, but that run area gets particularly dirty and stands out.

Yes, I had those for a couple of months....oh...it hasn't rained in L.A. for about 5 months...so I guess that's why I don't get those marks anymore. Duh! :'(

I like Meguiars Quick Detailer too. It's very easy to use to keep car looks shine everyday.

I think these stains are the result of the sill design. There is a relief area to allow for clearance of the leading edge of the rear door when opened. It seems that this area will collect water when the car is at rest and channel it over the edge. There does not appear to be anything to solve this except for regular cleaning.
