Hello everybody!
I decided to quick wash my car today. By a quick wash I mean a touchless one .
I usually don't do these, but somehow it stroke into my head today. The most important rule for me is, that if I'm not touching the car during a wash, then I won't be touching the car during the drying either. However, I would never leave the surface wet to avoid the water spots. They are (water spots) the main reason why I usually don't do touchless washes/rinses. And as we know, the car will not become fully clean this way. So I didn't have big expectations.
Well...
The equipment:
- Kärcher K5.55 pressure washer + foam lance with Bilt-Hamber Autofoam
- Stihl BGE71 leaf blower. Such a little and handy!
The process:
1) Foaming the car, twice. Let pour.
2) A careful rinse with the pw.
3) Rinse with an open hose.
4) Drying with an open hose.
5) Drying with Stihl.
It took about 40 mins overall, including unpacking and packing all the stuff, so it really wasn't that quick. Well, I usually spend 2 hours washing my car .
After pre-drying with an open hose, the Stihl did actually very good job. It was as good as those blowers in automatic car washes.
Of course a slight road film was left on panels and wheel lips, but "some" people could consider the outcome clean and shiny .
The pics have been taken with a cellphone this time, sorry.

Not useless, actually impressive for touchless! I have been debating to get an electric blower just for my car, probably cordless at that(don't like wires if I don't need them). I have a karcher washer with tank, mine is gas tho. May be worth a try if I can wash my car in less then an hour. I spend way too much time cleaning my car too...

Has anyone here used a snow foam attachment

I'm curious to know if this foaming detergent is 'corrosive' to some waxes?

Your link doesn't work for me.
Foams usually don't affect wax layers, but sure if you make a strong dilution and let it stand on a car for a long time, it may have its affect.
