"Can you wash my car too?" is the most annoying one of them all.

Ha, sounds familiar - I used to get it from my neighbors out of spite, they hated hearing my polishers for 8-10 hours straight. They shut up when they noticed a maserati quattroporte, an m5, and various other gorgeous vehicles showing up at my doorstep to work on.
What really gets me is close friends or even family they want me to "clean their car." It's bad enough when they think you're a maid for cars, but when they ask you to clean up crap that they could do themselves, it's downright insulting and demeaning! Worse yet, they THINK they can do as good of a job as you in all aspects of detailing, but they look down on you as a cleaner to do something they don't have time for, when it fact they would end up screwing up paint jobs severely. Paint correction and almost every aspect of detailing is such a fine art nowadays with all of the various paints, machines, compounds, LSPs... Theres no way you can just jump in and expect results. Frighteningly hilarious, and a little bit depressing.
If they don't appreciate paint correction, I won't even bother. I doubt they even realize what they are saying is a total insult, lol. The problem is, if your family member has a black Porsche 928, how could you pass on paint correction..? Well, it will be trashed again in a month when she washes it with a dirty wheel mitt, just like last time... Such a dilemma.
So no, they really don't understand, so don't waste your time unless you explain to them first. Sometimes that isn't even enough, rofl.
