Whats up detailing experts. I need your opinion. I'm going to for the first time clean my car. I just purchased a used 2006 525i (jet black). I think its needs a good cleaning and waxing. Can you recommenced some products to use or maybe a starter kit. I was looking into the Zaino starter kit. What you guys think?

Are you planning on getting a Porter Cable or Flex?

hey bro, trust me, you do not want to do it by hand. buy a flex, I have a porter cable which takes longer than the flex I hear. but, even the porter cable (PC) is 100x times faster than by hand.

I would say Z2 + ZFX + Z8 to start with, then add Z7, Z5, Zaino AIO when you feel neccessary

I'm not sure which starter kit to buy? Zanio, Swissvax, or if you can think of something better. There are just so many option to choose from. And you guys are right I will purchase a porter cable. Please help my car is looking green cause of the pollen and has lots of swirl marks. All your info it much appreciated!

If you have a lot of swirl marks then you really need to use mechanical power.
As a minimum you should 1) Clay the car, 2) Polish the car and 3) Wax the car.
To polish the car you should get a random orbital machine. I am not sure about the other brands but Griot's Garage has a decent starter kit for under $200 which includes their random orbital. Griot also includes a DVD video which shows each procedure step by step which is helpful for a first timer.
Check out their website.
Also, make sure you use micro fiber cloths to remove the polish and wax. The wrong type of cloth can add swirls to your paint.
Good Luck.

For the starter kit with PC (Porter Cable), you should get the following:

Decent shampoo (Plenty of choices, but Zaino Z7, duragloss 901 are very good)
Clay bar (Sonus, Meguairs)
Polishes (Menzerna 3.02, 106FF, Meguairs Pro #83,#80)
Polishing pads (Sonus, Lake country CCS, Meguairs)

For LSP (Last stage product eg Wax or sealant):
Zaino: Z2 pro + ZFX
Swissvax: Saphir, Concourso + Cleaner fluid

If you are in tight budget, victoria wax (Red), clearkote are both very good LSP.
In my opinion, swissvax has the edge over Zaino, but again prep (Claying,Polishing) is the key to bring your car to perfect shine
