I rinsed the soap off my car with regular water, and then did a final rinse with this, I probably used about two gallons, so I should get about 50 washes from the filters.
2 gallons to rinse the whole car?? I probably use more than 2 gallons on front hood alone.

Last year we had a domestic water softener installed.

Hopefully the miniscule amount of sodium left in the water will not make my baby fall to bits with rust !
I too have a softener with a hot/cold spigot in the garage. I do notice a little bit of film left on the car after wash and rinse with the softened water (but no spots ) God knows that we have enough salt on the roads here during our Michigan winters that a little extra on the car probably wouldn't hurt, BUT . . . I worry about waxing over whatever residue might be left after a wash. I use Zaino and it has no cleaners that would remove whatever film is there.

So, I too just ordered the CRSpotless machine. Seems to get good reviews. I will post my thoughts after first use.

Regards.

The two gallons I use is after I rinse with regular water. I use the filtered water without a nozzle, so it glides off the car.

Nice stuff. If i would have had the opportunity i would have bought it.

they ship worldwide..... I've checked their site...... I'm seriously thinking about it....

It seems that it is just a filter unit.... so not hassle with the US110V vs EU220V electricity.....

the only thing holding me back is that I could only use it for couple of months due to the weather..... since I'm not washing my car outside myself during cold days..... I go for heated car wash place to get it done by someone else

Peter530i, you don't love your car.

Love is when you wash your car YOURSELF regardless of the outside temperature You don't want to entrust your baby with somebody else?

naaah, washing the car at freezing temperatures outside???? well I'm not sure if that is about love

A good chamois is not cheap...but better than this, and all natural. Besides, it's the final wiping that really "polishes" the paint surface. Thx.

Anyone try the Mr. Clean system? It is much cheaper, and has left our vehicle without spots...

I used to dry whith the expensive chamois, but my car shines better now than before. From what I noticed regular water doesnt rinse as clean as with this system. Dont doubt if you havent tried it, I tried both

I used this today and I have to say it was perfect, its a little pricey but IMO its worth it. Having a black car and washing it at home about twice a week I needed to find a way to eliminate a process. This didnt leave not even one spot. http://crspotless.com/
Mine is black as well...My life *has* changed quite a bit since I bought her in November of '05 - I spend a lot of time cleaning my car as well...but NOT 2X/week!

I whole hartedly recomend the California Duster! Awesome product...I pull into the garage each evening, reach for the duster and give her a quick wipe down...Looks great between washes/polishes. I does not work so well after moisture has taken it's toll...but on the normal dust of a day out in the elements...perfect!

Save yourself some time!

Franko
