About to embark on my biggest detail job ever over the Holday Season (weather permitting!). Have ordered the foam cannon, random orbital, polish, sealer & wax. It has never occurred to me to check what the bext type of sponge is...... or is there something better altogether?

Is a lambs wool wash mit the way to go?

Any advise appreciated :-)

I use two heavy micro-fiber pads which I bought at Griot's Garage (a US Washington state company). They hold a lot of sudsy soap, and are said to lift the gunk off the finish without scratching. I would imagine a similar product is available where you are. Must say, it's nice to have car-washing weather during the Holiday Season.

I've been using Griot's mitts too, but definitely remember to have a second bucket of plain water to rinse the mitt before soaping up again.

Maybe with the foam gun he's got, he'd only need one bucket of plain water for the rinse. I sometimes use some water from the hose to rinse the microfiber between sections...that way it's always clean water rinsing the pads/mitts.

It's much better than the conventional lambwool mitt in my opinion. I bought two for both of my E60 and E46

I never considered this , but having personally done several tiling jobs it makes perfect sense that these sponges would absorb surface dirt and keep the contact points clean................. only question is.... are you kidding us F ??.... master of detailing !!!!!
