Bought 'snow foam' for use with my Gilmore Foam Gun.... as per other users, the foam doesn't dramatically melt away heavy dirt, but I feel it does soften it. I suspect however that it strips wax like a b@st@rd......

After polishing my car, 2 coats of Jetseal & a coat of collinite I expected a fairly long lasting 'beading' effect. Two washes later using snow foam as part of the process and the beading effect is noticeably weaker....

FYI I am using about a half inch of snow foam topped off with warm water in the reservoir. Followed by a wash with CG Citruswash + Gloss mixed on the weak side of their recommendation.

Should not strip wax, half inch snow foam sounds very reasonable mix.
where you bought it from?

Did you notice the 'loss beading' after the wash (before drying)? or when in rain?

Same here on mine after wash but it beads well in the rain tho

Hi Keith.

You are right. Beading is better in the rain than when rinsing the car, but still not what you could call good..... rather than top-up the wax I'll see if another couple of washes removes the beading altogether. Then I'll have to rethink either my cleaning or waxing regime :-)

Maybe 2nd coat of collinite needed in your case, normally i will put 2 coats wax to make sure all surfaces are covered for maximum bead.
And i noticed regular washes DO strip off wax a bit and will need to top up every 3 to 4 months even with 2coats (Thanks to the UK weather )

I think we both got the same snow foam (I got mine from RAE tho but i think they are the supplier of cleanandshiny), but i have no problem on mine at all.
And i am pretty sure 1/2 of inch snow foam will not strip too much waxes cos i use more than you about a inch

Maybe you can stop using snow foam after 2nd coat applied to see how it went on.

Goodluck
Keith
