I have always shined my tires with various products however now I have the lowest profile tires I have ever had which are 245/35 and 275/30's and the sidewall is really short. I put tire shine on yesterday and wiped off excess, left it over night without driving it and this morning after I drove and looked at the tire, there appears to be tire shine on about 3/4 of an inch on the outside tread, immediatly above the sidewall that I assume was sprayed up there while driving. I assume you do not need the outside edges of your tires all that much for grip but I also assume you do not want tire shine on your tread at all, so what do people do? Just not put any such product on tires?

the shine will wear off in the first mile you drive, you may feel a slip in the turns but it goes away

What you guys putting tire shine on the whole tire?????????? lol If you apply tire shine where it is suppose to be applied (the sidewall!) you should not slip at ALL.

Well I DID put it on the side-wall but after driving the next day it has crept up into the tread slightly, evenly around the whole tread
