Washing methods look much better this time !
I figured that you would appreciate that!

Euro Shell stations rock. After an excellent espresso shot they served me inside the shop, I attacked the bugs and the road grime on the E61:

1 Euro for 3 minutes of HOT water pressure wash.

1 Euro for 3 minutes of HOT water + shampoo pressure foaming.

1 Euro for 3 minutes of warm water pressure wash.

0 Euros for 10 minutes of hand drying with the Miracle Towel.

Then I let my wife spend 1 Euro to vacuum the rugs and seats!

It is raining here in Lienz, but we are parked in a garage, so no worries!

LOL! Actually, she used the TomTom to find the nearest Shell station once we were in Austria. Today's wash was her idea!!

You must have 1000s of photos by now Good work on the car washing front, that's dedication for you!

Silver looks clean on the side and the rear... but one high speed run down the motorway and the front bumper looks the same colour as mine!

The car wash in Munich was ok, but did a bad job on the wheels. Those pressure washes are definitely the way forward.

So remind me again, is this a tour of Europe's finest sights or Europe's finest car washes?

With careful deletions, we only have 3.9 GB of pics, or 599 in total so far.

Yes, silver looks fine from the sides, but the front gets messy. Any rain, and then the rear of a Touring also gets dirty.

The car wash in M?nchen was fine and made your car smell like fresh fruit - Elliott pointed this out. However, 172 wheels are hard to clean!

As for your last question... A lot of both!

You won't regret it! I am repeatedly surprised at how much water it can absorb.

I have two in case one is "dirty" and I need wash the E61 in the mean time.
