Removing wax residue from non-painted surface?

Looking for recommendations on removing the residue left from wax that was accidentally applied to non-painted surfaces? For example the black plastic trim around the sunroof between the glass and roof, or the rear bumper inserts for those of us who don't have reflectors.

From my experience, applying rubber and plastic dressing only masks the residue until the dressing is washed away. I want to remove the wax totally.

I have never used it, but I have used other Griot's products. They tend to beexpensive, but all of the Griot's prodcuts I have used have been of the highest quality.

Griot's is expensive, but it's a great place to get specialty items (like this). High quality, and a price to match.

Their window cleaner wipes are great--they get the windows squeaky clean, and you don't get overspray:
