Tomorrow I wilI we spending some quality time with my car.

I bought a number of products yesterday such as:
~Meguiar's Gold Class car wash shampoo & conditioner
~Meguiar's Quick clay detailing system
~Sonax car polish.
~Meguiar's Gold Class clear coat liquid wax
~Meguiar's High gloss hot shine tire spray
~Orbital polisher

The procedure for tomorrow is:
~Wash & dry
~Quick CIay
~PoIish
~Wax

The one question I have is do I need to rinse & dry the car after using quick clay detailer? l have never used this product before.

Thanks

I've never used that product, but have used Clay Magic for years, and I don't rinse the car afterwards, before waxing. I just wipe off excess moisture with a cotton towel.

FWIW--the key to claying is to use plenty of lubricant, fold the clay over on itself to reveal a fresh surface after each 2' x 2' section clayed, and if you happen to drop it on the floor--throw it away. Claying is one of the most satisfying detailing steps. Try this--after washing/drying the car, put your hand in a small plastic bag and lightly rub the surface of your car--feel all the high points? After claying a section, try again--silky smooth!

I use the Zaino products, including their clay bar, and they recommend washing the car again after claying to carry away any residue.

Hi All,

When you clay your car, do you clay the whole car or only where you feel bumps or contaminants? Thanks.
