I bought a used 2006 530i which I absolutely love. The only issue I have is the former owner used Armor All on the dash. The dash now has a white residue on it. What is the best way to remove it and what do I use on it after that to make it look nice again? Thanks in advance.

White? Doesn't sound like the armor-all vinyl protectant to me, if that was the case you'd have a thick greasy residue. White residue could be a multitude of things, perhaps even wax or some other "armor-all" product, maybe an exterior product..?
Who knows, it's obviously not correct.

Regardless, gently clean it off with a diluted solution of simple green and water, use a soft cotton cloth.

You'll want to use 303 aerospace protectant from now on. It's not only a UV protectant, but it's easy to control how shiny of a finish you leave. A single coat will barely be noticeable to both the touch and visually, but two coats will make it glow. I usually only do 2 coats on areas I never touch, and only a single coat on 'high traffic' areas.
