Love all the replies guys - thanks

Have now successfully removed the leaf using chop sticks through the lower grill.

Must have blown in through the top grills! I would have thought BMW would have left a slot for anything like this to remove itself.
Good idea.

Chop sticks??? That's too funny.

BTW, from what I understand "leaf removal" is covered under the BMW maintenance program ...

Now I dare you to pick up a slimy, cooked, mushroom using chopsticks!
Now I can do it with a fork, how come you can't do it with a chopstick

Beat you can can pick that slimy, muschroom in a heartbeat? I've got 30+ years experience with chopsticks and was going to recommend it to Merv.

I think its in the blood. My 11 month old's first skill was picking up falling hair from the floor with her fingers.

Speaking of chopsticks, heard an interesting radio show/conversation as to chopsticks on the way to the office this morning.

"According to government statistics, China currently makes and throws out more than 45 billion pairs of disposable chopsticks each year. Up to 25 million trees a year are cut down to make chopsticks".

I'm no environmentalist, however 25 million trees/year is quite a few trees!

Hmm.. that's a staggering figure - But I can assure you that we in the US are the largest plunders by far of every single natural resource in the world!!! We are probably the ones that are demanding the throw away chopsticks in our take out orders. I've been to hong Kong and let me tell you - first of all there is noone getting take out. Secondly, the restaurants really are not carrying disposable chopsticks - even in the most affordible restaurants - the chopsitcks are just placed in a cup on every tabel, just like pencils for each customer to grab. Then washed and reused.

Thats a lot of waste! But relax I used plastic chop sticks. They're now washed and back in the kitchen drawer never to be used again.

Not to worry. Trees are a renewable resource.
