Dump the 166s and get some 167s. You hands and back will thank you.

Ok it looks nice. It looks aggressive. It's big. But cleaning it a pain.
Daytona Wheel Brush is my friend .

Nah, get the 172s. You'll be working even harder when cleaning but you'll be rollin in style.

Seriously, the 166s look great on your ride. They are worth the extra effort it takes to clean them.

then for sure he's going to need a brake upgrade...the 167's leave the rotors and calipers even more exposed...speaking of which...when are you going to do yours?

I use a soft long brush for the wheel face and carawsh mitten for the rest, this includes behind the rims. I know it is a pain but it is very rewarding when I see it clean. Drying the wheels, I use a leaf blower. Regarding the tires, I use armorall wipes. It is easy to use , no over spray and no mess.

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

What kind of wheel cleaner are you using?

A good wheel cleaner, coupled with a good soft bristle brush and that Daytona speed master brush and you should be set. Don't forget to scrub the tires down too, brown tires

I am using the normal car wash shampoo to wash the rims. I had a really bad experience when I sprayed some rims cleaner with "Black magic" and they turn yellow after that. I am not sure if I had left it on for too long or something. I have decided not to use any special cleaner for the rims except for the mild car wash shampoo which is just as efficient as I wash my car once a week.

Its my daily ride so it gets dusty really easy in summerland here.

Speaking of which I should get the brush in the picture. Looks good =)

Yes the BBK has to come soon but after my unichip chip up and M-body kit + Remus exhaust.

I need to find a really good laser printer and start printing some money..

Well, that Black Magic stuff is some cheap OTC product. If you were to invest in a high quality tire & wheel cleaner, like P21S gel wheel cleaner, you can leave that on for as long as you like and it will not harm the finish at all.

However, if you adamant about not using a cleaner for them , I would suggest at least put a coat of sealant on your wheels after you wash them next time. This make it MUCH easier to remove the dust later.
