so wd40 worked great on the sticker itself. I had to leave it 30 mins for it to soak in and the sticker came off easily with my finger nails. The only thing is now that there is small bits of residue lefts on the body which can be seen at different angles and I just cannot get this off. Tried soapy water. Dont want to try too hard incase I start taking off more than I want to!

Hey nudda. They must have put that thing on with some special tape at the factory the day your car was made! Anyway, at this point, you may want to post a pic so that one of the detailing experts can help. It may require a bit of rubbing compound or polish. Anyway, there are some guys on here who can diagnose it I'm sure. Cheers, Calvin

Hi all,

I used a hair dryer and some dental floss to get rid of the badge from the badge. I am now left with a lot of sticky residual ... and wanted to know the best way to get this off without damaging the paint. I am in the UK so dont have Goo be gone or anything like that. Anyone have any ideas what is best to use ?

Heres a pic for completness.

Thanks

use Goof Off it takes one min. everything well come off and then wax it

So here is a pic straight on ... as you can see, it looks kinda ok from here

But heres a pic from the side and now you should be able to see the sticky residue left.

As you can imagine, its much more visible with the naked eye but cannot be see about 2m or more away from the car (thats meters and not miles )

+1. Initially, I had the same result. After a couple of washes, buff and polish, it was gone.
