My Ride: 2005 BMW 530i Oriental Blue Metalic Beige InteriorPremium PackageCold Weather Package

Hey guys! I have an Oriental Blue 530i and for the last 2 years I have done the Meguires 3 step detailing which includes one round of a paint cleaner/swirl remover, second round is polishing it, and lastly waxing it. I personally think it looks wonderful after busting my butt for hours. My question to you guys is there really a huge difference between doing the Meguires 3 step versus using this magical wax that everyone talks about called Zaino? Anyones that has used both or any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

The paint cleaner actually has a bit of bite to smooth out swirls and help correct the paints flaws , the polish brightens the surface and the wax makes it shine and adds depth..............try an orbital , it makes the job easier with a MUCH better result, I've been using the same system as you but this time I used a machine I purchased for Xmas................I think Zaino wax might be better than Mequiars from what a lot of guys say here..............Just my $.02...................Cheers

Zaino will definitely look better than the Meg step 3 wax, and last much longer as well, but it will all down the the prep work.
Z2-pro + ZFX will be my choice for your car.

But there are alot other choices, take a look at clearkote and victoria concours, they are value for money

If the Megs process works well for you, I say stick with it!

Having said that, I'm a big fan of Zaino. Their ZPC polish is mild and easy to use - it takes out minor blemishes and finishes off perfectly. On darker colored cars I think their Z-5 polish (it's a sealant - use it with ZFX for fast curing) gives the best look, and it is long-lasting. Top it off with Zaino's Clear Seal, followed by Z-8 detailing spray, and you won't believe the depth and shine.
