Griot's fine glass polish worked great for me on a car I bought new a few years ago, that after washing the first time, I noticed had what appeared to be water spots or calcium deposits on the windshield, and less so on the side windows. I tried vinegar, windex, and lots of elbow grease, but nothing worked, so I got the Griot's fine glass polish and it worked great.

I then checked the windshield and side windows on my other (2 year old) car, and there were slight water marks when you looked at an angle. Polished those away as well.

Been awhile since I frequented the autopia forums, but I believe a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water will get that out. Be sure to follow it with a good polish/wax though.

Oh and stop parking next to the sprinklers.

Sorry, that seems to some wrong info. The alcohol/water mixture should remove old wax though.

Check out this link http://autopia.org/forums/search.php?actio...rder=descending

Oh and do keep your distance from the sprinklers.

The polish requires a bit of elbow grease, depending on how bad the water spots are (by definition, all polishes--as opposed to waxes--require elbow grease to work).

The polish will remove the Rejex, so you'll probably want to apply it again to the windshield.

i probably won't apply rejex on the windshield again since it looks like it has a layer of something "oily/smear". thanks for the info .
