I have purchased an used OEM rear spoiler for my 2005 BMW 525. It's in good condition, but I have to remove some old hardened adhesive from it first.
I believe this black adhesive is called betalink.
Does anybody know what is they easiest way to remove betalink? Do I have to use a knife?

I hope someone can help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

Usually, removing adhesive comes down to a good solvent (WD-40, Goof Off, etc.) and loads of patience. In addition to the solvent, another thing that can help is a heat gun but be careful not to cook the paint off the car!

Try some Un-Du adhesive remover from Office Depot. Works a bit better then Goo Gone when I tried them both.
