Hey guys,
Hope everyone is doing well! Does anyone know what the best product would be to remove water spots mild oxidation off of chrome trim around windows? This drives me nuts
. I bought the car with these spots and have been wanting to get them off for some time. However I've been somewhat cautious and scared to use anything abrasive. Also I noticed some scratches on the chrome trim. Would anyone know how to remove these as well?
I appreciate any feedback.

I heard something about 50/50 water and vinegar; but I think that had to do with water spots on the actuall car. Might work on your trims. Do this at your own risk for I dont know exactly what will come from doing this.

a Ph neutral soap and vinegar will work better but your car will smell like a salad

Thanks guys. I will look into trying to clay them or possibly buy the Adams from Phil at dd. Just didn't know if anyone had experience with successfully removing the oxidation stains. I think the previous owner left the car outside instead of garaging it.

Smells like SHIT, and is WAY flammable. People on the show car circuit have been using it to clean chrome wheels for YEARS.
Me? I use it to clean my exhaust tips.

NevrDull, I bought it from walmart. Its not expensive, it works well on exhaust tips. I tried to remove the oxidation marks from window trim, it works OK but does not do any magic. It works well just to polish chrome where there is no oxidation.
