My Ride: Bmw 530d 2004
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
My friend asked me to detail his father's Honda Accord 2006(?) this weekend. The color is volcano gray if I'm right.
The paint was in decent condition, except some deep rids and typical swirls. I couldn't do much to the deepest rids, but I got approximately 99% of swirls off. It was only a paint correction without touching interior. I am real amateur in these things and taking care of interior and wheels (some grime left behind) would have taken lots of hours more. And I already spent 12 hours with the paint only.
I earlier was told by member SchanE60 about Honda's (Acura in the US) thin paint, but I got decent readings with my PD8 gauge, 140-160?m. See SchanE60's great detail on the same car here: Acura TSX detailed
The process was:
1) Pre-wash
- Korrek Lensitil BR Solvent Wash Spray
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam
2) Wash
- Turtle Wax Big Orange
- Two bucket method + Mother's Sheepskin Mitts
3) Claying
- Zaino Z-18 clay
- Turtle Wax Big Orange as lubricant
4) Polish
- Presta Ultra Cutting Creme Light + Lake Country CCA Green + Orange pads
- Menzerna PO106FA+ Lake Country CCA White pad
- W?RTH Fast Wax (A quick detailer actually, not a wax) as moisturizer
- Flex XC 3401 VRG
5) Wax
- Autoglym Super Resin Polish
- Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection
- Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer
6) Tires, black plastics, windows
- Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing
- Autoglym Bumper Care
- Autoglym Fast Glass + Turtle Wax 5Sateesta (a water repellant liquid)

The pics aren't very good sorry.
