My Ride: 2004 525i in mystic blue with beige interior--premium, cold weather package, xenon, pdc, step, euro red reflectors
When I parked my 525 this morning, I noticed that someone had taken a black magic marker and written their initials rather prominently on my trunk lid.
I had taken such meticulous care of my car for two years----no door dings---and now this. I guess I should be grateful that they only used magic marker and not a nail.
Does anyone know the best way to erase the magic marker without damaging the clear coat or the paint. My car is Mystic Blue. Thanks

Hi,
Sorry about the 'damage'. But like u said - its better than a scratch.
To remove it, take a WHITE Board marker - the non permanent ones - and write over it,...using it like an eraser. And bingo! the permanent marker will come off.

Take non permanent white board marker. Write over all the parts that are written with the Magic Marker, then use a damp cloth to wipe off the markers. It should be fine. Just quickly detail that part with some liquid spray wax or something, then you're good as new.
