I've used Zaino products before on a few Volvo's and a LincolnLS. I'm new to BMW having just bought a 2008 528i. It is Black Sapphire Metallic and really in need of a protective shine.
I thought I'd clay it ,then use Z-5 and Z-2.
All opinions welcome.
Geez do I need a garage for this baby!

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.
I've never personally used Zaino before, but I know that it has quite a cult following so it must be good.
The Z5/Z2 combo should be good. Personally, I would top it with something. Like a wax or another sealant with some wax in it. I think Zaino has great shine, looks like a mirror, but very bland looking. I like the wet paint look

Zaino is great but for saphire black I would go with a wax I usually reserve sealants on black vehicles for winter preps.
If you do decide on Zaino Z2pro is great stuff however if you want to layer it in a relatively short period of time use ZFX with it then top it off inbetween wax sessions with Zaino Grande Finale.
Hope that helps.

I used to be a die hard Zaino addict. Member tachyon got me hooked on their products. Great stuff, but I've moved on to better. However, I still use their Z8 Grand Finale Spray. It's not cheap, but it's the best spray finisher I've ever used.

I also have sapphire black, and if I were after Zaino, your sequence is what I'd do... Personally, I find opti-seal + P-21S100 to be best all-round durability+look, but you won't be unhappy with Zaino.
