Hand wash whenever I can. If I'm in a hurry I have a Kaercher pressure washer and sometimes just give it a quick blast and then a quick drive to dry it off. I find it relaxing.

I'm so anal about cleaning all my vehicles...never take my E60 to a car wash, and I have a standing instruction at my dealer to NEVER wash.....I don't know what rag they use.....how clean it is....and I don't want a bunch of swirl marks and water spots because some minimum wage guy is trying to finish a lot of cars. I wash my bimmer every Saturday morning, and.......I'm sick, I know, but I enjoy it!

Touchless car wash for the quick during the week dirt, other then that every other Sunday I am handwashing both cars!

BTW, anyone know of something that will remove water spots, it appears I have a bad sprinkler and now I have some water spots on the right side of the car.

ONLY hand wash, its part of my saturday morning ritual...especially since its a black car. barely any noticable swirl marks, even after 14 months and 13K miles. i still get comments cause people think its a brand new car.

Only hand wash and blot dry with microfibre cloth. My e39 never had a swirl mark and the e60 will be the same.

Just get some "detailing spray" and a microfiber towel. I keep in trunk, does an amazing job and I only need to wash every couple of weeks.

hand wash.
Can do without the dreaded swirlmarks caused by carwash brushes.

Use carwashes in Germany when over there, that use Microfibre towels instead of brushes.
He is right never take it to the drum car wash, you will get alot of marks on it and itis not 100% clean so I hand clean my.
