I get foul odor when air conditioning is turned on. It smells like mulch.

Any idea why this would happen?

I took it in to deal with this annoyance.

I got this odor also. Just started this week. Have driven the car every day since delivery 22/1-04. 12000 km so far.

How to get rid of it?

I took it in.
The dear took the system vent system apart and disinfected it.
They also deodorized it.
I am waiting till tomorrow to see if it worked.
I haven't had my car for 3 days.
Now, I am mad.

don't be mad, it only raises your blood pressure. With all the problems written about on this board, you are fortunate. Expect to spend more time in the shop.

My car has been in the shop about 10-11 days since delivered. I'm taking in next week for more repairs-clicking in front, flat tire icon lit up, replace a rim scratched/ruined by dealer tech, air cond. doesn't remember the automatic mode.

You have to have a sense of humor about these things. 1st year models are notorious for having problems....the more complicated things are, the more chances of problems...especially with a software controlled car....just ask any MS Windows user how reliable their computer is.

I think we're in for a long ride......

you know - this could be linked to the rodent thing as well - squeaks, foul odours etc etc. - there seems to be a bit of a common thread here
