We have a product called Wonder Wheels over here - great on rims but also works very well on stainless pipes, you just need to be careful to rinse off fairly quickly as it will tarnish the stainless......it does however restore them to pristine condition
If I really got excited about my "tips" I might use the wife's Duraglit. After all, they're only chrome.

I accept that I should get out more.......it does though only take less than a couple of minutes and you just rinse off with the hose pipe - tis hardly concourse standard work.
