My Ride: 2006 BMW 330ci cab - Jet Black - Black Leather - Premium Pkg - Sport Pkg - Auto - Heated Seats - Navigation - Xenon - Premium Sound - iPod - Bluetooth
I purchased a 2006 BMW 550i at the end of December. I swore I would never own another Jet Black BMW, but it's my fourth. It just had all the options I wanted with super low miles, 13,000. I flew from Ohio to Chicago to pick the car up. Dealers are clever, and the car was sitting in their delivery garage. There was a sticker inside the hood, stating Detail on 12/26/08. When I got the car home and in the sunlight, I could not believe how bad the paint looked with tons of holograms. Honestly, I was pretty sick. I tried to fix it myself with a PC 7424. But, it soon became apparent that I needed a pro.
So, I started seaching forums for professional detailers. I kept seeing phenomenal work from FMINUS...only problem was that he lives in California, quite some distance from Ohio. He did however suggest I check out www.detailingbliss.com. After reading several posts, I decided to drive 10+ hours to Roanoke Rapids, NC to have JL Nelson of JL's Detailing work on my car.
I drove the car to his place, rented a car, and took a mini vacation for five days on the coast of NC. When I returned, my baby was stunning. It just broke my heart to have to drive it back 10+ hours through moderate rain and bugs. I had to wash it when I got home. But, I was very careful to not try to touch the paint. Foamed with a CR Spotless system, washed with a two-bucket method, and dried with my Toro leaf blower. I was afraid to pull it out of the gargage into the bright sunlight, as that is where you can see the holograms. I did, and I could not find a one! JL did an outstanding job correcting my paint.
If anyone is looking for a detailer east of the Mississippi, I highly recommend JL. This is not his primary profession, he details because he loves it. He has a web site; www.jlsdetailing.com
Here's a few pictures of the car after I got home and washed her, and just for fun, my dogs on vacation in NC.

i dont know if your familiar with menzerna polishes, but they are the best and works great with a 7424! it will correct all paint flaws... scratches, holograms, swirls etc... , definitely will save you 10+ hrs of driving! let me know if you need help in choosing.
