OK so I got my wife's X5 done a few weeks back, and we have been in/out of town a couple of weeks and I finally got a chance to detail my e60.

Black Sapphire paint is truly beautiful when it is cleaned up and shining, not so much when there are scratches and swirls everywhere

I must have had some contamination on my previous wash mitts that I had been using up until now to cause so many scratches, but I now am using a boar's hair brush so that should do the trick going forward.

Exterior products used:
Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo
Adams Car Wash
Meg's Clay with QD spray
Uber boars hair brush
foam cannon
P21S TAW
Black Wow on trim
Einzeitt Spray Wax

Wheel Cleaning:
P21S wheels cleaner gel
swissvax brush
boars hair wheel brush
P21S TAW to remove tire dressing
Swissvax autobahn
Swissvax Pneu tire dressing

Polish:
Menzerna SIP with Uber orange pad
Menzerna PO85RD with Uber blue pad
Menzerna Top Inspection

Wax:
Swissvax Blau Weiss

This was a tough day, temps were hovering in the mid 90s and the day started at 7:30am at about 78 degrees. I finished up at 5:30pm, I'm pleased with how the car turned out.

- Started off with p21s wheel cleaner gel and swissvax/uber brushes some p21s TAW got to working on the bugs
- Washed the car with Megs Gold Class shampoo and uber brush
- Clayed car and wheels
- Washed again
- Dried car
- Prep for polish (taping etc.)
- Polished test area for result
- Polished whole car
- Swissvax wheels and paint, dress tires
- Black wow on trim
- Done!

On to the photos.
