Decided to take advantage of the warmer weather to de-winterize my BMW. I pressure washed the entire under carriage and engine bay to remove salt. The rest of the process was pretty basic. Clean wheels with Meguiars Wheel Brighter 4:1 and pressure wash (I also used a spoke brush and Meguiars APC 4:1 to clean the inside of the wheel). Next was spray down wheel wells with Wheel brightner (yes it works like a APC) and pressure wash. Afterwards I just washed with Meguiars Hyperwash and followed with Meguiars Finial Detail. Tires were dressed with Eagle One WET gel, and wheel wells were dressed with Meguiars Hyper Dressing 1:1. I didn't take many pictures during the detail because my camera batteries died (ain't that a xxxxx), but I did take a few before and after pictures. Enjoy...

Also, I removed some nasty road grime and tar with WD40 prior to washing. There was some sort of grease bugur type looking stuff all over the driver side door and rear fender.

I do that in the summer when I do a full detail. Without taking them off I can get them perfect using a spongue and spoke brush.

BTW, notice the hideous rusty caliper... The rear is even worse the entire rotor and caliper are rusty. I need the dealer to reapint everything using high temp paint.

Nice looking work!

Did you actually wash the engine bay (with the hood open)?
Because our dealer has told us that it's forbidden. Is it? Is it OK to wash it?

Yes I did, I coverd the alternator with a plastic bag and checked to see if all connections where tight. I wash the engine bays of all my vehicles, and I have never had a problem.
