My car is de chromed, and i prefer the look for my color.

But boy, what a nightmare it is to keep it clean. Every minor touch is a big smudge on the black, and you cant simply wipe it off like the chrome.

You have to spend ages removing the dirt marks, what a pain.

For pure easyness alone, i would be tempted not to have it de-chromed the next time, even though i prefer the look.

If you have the shiny shadow line it's the same like the chrome.
The only difference is, that you have to wipe them off after the car wash, or you have little watermarks on it. And it looks waaaay better than chrome, or regular/dull shadow line.

The shiny shadow looks sooooo good on a black car!! I would never choose it on any other color but on black it looks sick!!

Yesterday I saw a 520i with the dull black instead of the chrome.. It looked so cheap. Doesn't the 520i get chrome??? The car looked like the cheapest version with the small wheels and cloth on the seats.

I agree it doesn't look that good on a light colour. But on black or the orient blue it's great! I love it on mine!

You can order your car de-chromed. It's an option, called "shadow line", the shiny one is called "shadow line individual".

Yes, the shadow line individual is awesome. Again something else we can't have on US unless you order it here.

Or if you order an "emmy" or a car with BMW individual.
