What is everyone using to clean and protect the dash? I know that my seats are leather but what exactly is the Dash and door panels made of?

I use a slightly damp microfibre cloth every week.
Once a month I use Sonax Citrus Cockpit lotion. I have used it for many years & it keeps the dash & trim looking very natural, & not shiny.

The mid section (soft to the touch) is leather (l think), & the other parts (top & bottom & area around window controls) are plastic & soft paint.

Where do you purchase the microfiber cloths? I went on-line and it seems there are different microfiber cloths depending on the use. I called an auto parts supply house and they did not have any. Please advise

I use 303 protectant with a microfiber towel. I get the microfiber clothes at Costco, and the 303 at the auto store.

303 is raved about everywhere
for now, i just use a damp microfiber cloth

just ordered a dozen MF from microfibertech.com today at a very good price...ive heard theyre very good. will report back when i get them.

and really all u need are 2 types of MF's...one waffle weave for drying your car (does a great job) and the plush types for wax/sealant removal/quick detailing.

My Sonax cleaner was finished so a few weeks ago I bought some of the new BMW Cockpit Cleaner.

I have to say that this is the easiest product I have ever used for the interior.
It is a clear liquid which can be diluted with water if desired. You simply wipe it on and it dries very quickly.

The product leaves a nice completely MATT finish, but somehow slightly deepens the colour of the trim you apply it to. I am really impressed.

What is also nice is that you can use it on the leather portions of the door panels, and even on the wood trim (followed by a quick wipe off with MF towel).

The Zymol Vinyl works well on the E60 dash material and door sections that are not leather. Just apply and buff off abt 20 minutes after aplication. Hope this helps.
