So I get out of work and I see all the birds in the northeast wanted to take a dump on my blue 5 series. I took it through the touchless carwash since its only around 40 today. Looks like the its still there not white but looks like its on the clear coat. Tried using some meguires detailer and some bug and tar remover and that didnt work. Does anyone have a home remedy to take care of this or know of a product?

Honestly you might be screwed, trying buffing it out with a scratch remover , but bird crap is toxic and it probably has gotten into your clearcoat.Samething happened to my black 540 e39 .......gl

Bird poop is acidic and gritty since they eat little rocks to aid in digestion. Once you've carefully (i.e., not grinding it in while wiping) removed the poop, which you did in the car wash, apply isopropyl alcohol with some cotton to help draw out the acid. Let dry, then soap and rinse. Then claybar and wax.

Note: Claybar and wax the surrounding areas to blend, and try not to rub too hard on the spots themselves. Results depend on how much acid there was, but it's worth a shot. GL

Yeah, just the kind from the drug store/Wal-Mart. The higher the % the better (usually 70-80). Check your bathroom cabinets.
